Chair: Professor LING HongThe Department of Information Management and Information Systems was established in 2000, and consists of 14 faculty members, including 3 full professors, 5 associate professors and 6 lecturers, all holding a Ph.D. degree. The department tracks its roots back to the discipline of Management Information System set up in 1985, which was then part of the Department of Management Science, and one of the first Management Information System disciplines ever established in China.
The department aims at preparing students with a solid understanding in management, mathematics, and the ability in computer appliance. They are required to be able to analyze all kinds of problems, and create solutions, and conduct managements of information system.
