Chair: Professor XU YifanThe Department of Management Science was established in 1979, one of the earliest of its kind in China. A total of 24 faculty members are working in the department, including 10 full professors, 9 associate professors, and 5 lecturers, and the main research areas are Management Science, Logistics and Operations Management, andTechnology Management.
The chief goal of the department is to cultivate the potential senior decision-makers and technical specialists in the management field. The students will be capable of applying the advanced management theories, systematic methods, quantitativemodels, and information technology to process corporate governance and social economic activities. To do that, students have to command a solid foundation of basic knowledge, practical specialized instruments, besides the knowledge of accounting, financing, production and planning, marketing and sales, as well as Operations Research, Statistics, and computer appliance management.
